iOS 4 Jailbreak Update

it’s been a little over a week with the new jailbreak provided by @comex that i’ve been very fortunate to be rockin’ with little to no stability issues. if you hadn’t taken the jailbreaking plunge yet on your iphone or ipod touch, it’s a disservice to your expensive apple product. 

though one thing that puzzles me about this exploit, is that it exposes (as i’ve mentioned previously) a potentially threatening backdoor for would-be techno thieves and hackers as the exploit jailbreaks your device using safari mobile. essentially, by taking advantage of a rendering flaw in safari mobile while loading adobe .pdf files, the exploit is able to (read: very easily) patch the operating system to allow for the installation of outside software.

and i know what you’re thinking, “couldn’t i just run to the apple store and deliberately jailbreak demo iDevices?” yes, yes you can, though in light of this apple corporate has forced retail stores to block jailbreakme.com from being accessed…shame
